The Salsnes Filter SFKC Series is a rotating belt filter solution suitable for all types of applications. It is specifically good for plants with chemical dosing upstream of the filters, as well as for applications with challenging particles, like slaughterhouses for fish or meat.
The SFKC Series is designed with a large rectangular inlet to reduce turbulence into the filter, and low belt angle to reduce share forces and avoiding large or slippery particles sliding back to the filter inlet.
For removal of sludge form the filter belt, the SFKC Series can be equipped with either air-knife or self-cleaning sludge scraper, and for maintenance wash, it can be chosen between low-pressure hot-water wash or high-pressure cold-water wash.
The SFKC Series does not include integrated overflow protection. This must be included upstream of the filters. Sludge handling is also not included, but custom-made sludge handling solutions can be attached to the filters.
The SFKC Series consists of three different models, SFK200C, SFK400C and SFK600C, with different treatment capacities. The design of the SFKC filters makes them very suitable for compact solutions for plants with several filters in parallel. The SFKC filters can be connected to stainless steel inlet tanks or concrete channels. The SFKC Series is suitable for all plant sizes, from one single filter up to as many as needed to handle the incoming flow. Generic designs for groups from two to eight parallel filters are available, also with standardised control systems.
